Anoche a las 11:59 de la noche se registró un temblor Magnitud:6.2 (MLv) según el Instituto de Geociencias de la Universidad de Panamá.
El Sistema Nacional de Protección Civil (Sinaproc) informó que desde el Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias, se mantienen en monitoreo y vigilancia tras el reciente movimiento telúrico percibido en la comarca Guna Yala, además de las provincia de Panamá y Panamá Oeste.

Carretera de Paso Canoas a Piedra Candela tiene un 50% de avance
El Ministerio de Obras Públicas (MOP) de la provincia de Chiriquí informó que la construcción de la carretera Paso Canoas – Río Sereno – Piedra Candela registra un avance del 50% y su inversión total es de B/.66, 461,991.94.
Esta obra que se estructuró bajo la modalidad “llave en mano” beneficiará a más de 17 mil habitantes de los distritos de Barú y Renacimiento.
Los trabajos son desarrollados el MOP a través de la empresa contratista Ininco S.A, en una distancia aproximada de 74.3 kilómetros. La obra inicia en la comunidad de Paso Canoas Arriba, en el corregimiento de Progreso del distrito de Barú hacia los corregimientos de Breñón, Cañas Gordas, Río Sereno hasta Piedra Candela; localizados en el distrito de Renacimiento.

Capacitan a productores chiricanos sobre manejo de plagas en papaya
Extensionistas del Ministerio de Desarrollo Agropecuario, Agencia de Progreso organizaron una sobre el Manejo Integrado de Plagas (MIP) en el cultivo de papaya, dirigida a colaboradores de la finca Don Danny S.A, ubicada en Manaca, distrito de Barú en la provincia de Chiriquí.
La finca Don Danny, está dedicada a la producción de papaya de la variedad Tainung, para el mercado nacional y de exportación.
El administrador de la finca, Jorge Batista, informó que en ella colaboran unos 50 trabajadores, en los diferentes procesos, como es el de producción, a nivel de planta y empaque. Dijo que con el apoyo del MIDA, se lleva el programa de mosca de las frutas, como lo establecen los protocolos del mercado internacional.

Minsa fomenta educación entre estudiantes de Dolega
Jóvenes de los principales centros educativos del distrito de Dolega, participaron de una jornada de capacitación de grupos pares de adolescentes, como parte de la estrategia del Ministerio de Salud, región de Chiriquí con el objetivo de aprovechar mayor potencial y convertirlos en principales protagonistas de los programas.
La acción que se ejecuta en el marco del Mes de la Juventud reunió a estudiantes de cinco colegios secundarios del distrito de Dolega (C. E. B. G. Rita Wald, Los Algarrobos, Félix Lara y Elifenia Staff) quienes participaron en el encuentro y aprendieron de forma práctica sus deberes y derechos, sobre todo en temas de bienestar personal y colectivo.
La iniciativa fue adoptada por el departamento de enfermería y el equipo del Programa de Servicios Amigables del Adolescentes y consiste en la instrucción de jóvenes dispuestos a compartir conocimientos y valores en sus colegios y comunidades.
Minsa promotes education among Dolega students

MINSA refuerza vigilancia en la comarca Ngäbe Buglé
El Ministerio de Salud (MINSA) mantiene actualmente una férrea vigilancia sanitaria en varios puntos de la comarca Ngäbe Buglé, con el fin de detectar eventos y realizar intervenciones oportunas para evitar un aumento de casos de Leptospira, Rickettsia, Influenza H1n1, Influenza B, Virus sincitial respiratorio Rinovirus que se han registrado en los últimos meses.

Manifestó que en la comarca Ngäbe Buglé, se han registrado desde mayo hasta la fecha un total de 17 defunciones en esta población, las cuales están concentradas en las áreas de Mina Zorra (5), Sirote (5), sectores aledaños a Sirote (3), Paso Vidrío (2), Chelele (1) y Río Tallo (1).

MITRADEL presenta Plan de Acción Regional sobre Movilidad Laboral
Bajo el Liderazgo de la Presidencia Pro Tempore de la Conferencia Regional de Migración por parte de Panamá, el Ministerio de Trabajo y Desarrollo Laboral (Mitradel), presentó este lunes, 28 de agosto de 2023, el avance del Plan de Acción Regional sobre Movilidad Laboral 2023 – 2027.
Durante la reunión, se compartieron acciones de la política pública migratoria que desarrolla el gobierno panameño, como el acuerdo binacional con Costa Rica, el reclutamiento ético de buscadores de empleo el cual podría ser implementado en otros países y el Plan de Movilidad Laboral como punta de lanza para la protección de los derechos de las personas migrantes.
Desde la creación de la CRM en 1996, el MITRADEL ocupa por primera vez la dirección del grupo de Migración Laboral, a lo que la ministra Doris Zapata, expresó que hoy más que nunca se hace necesario avanzar en el Plan de movilidad laboral, el cual se está trabajando con el apoyo técnico de la Organización Internacional de las Migraciones y la Organización Internacional del Trabajo.
