MIDA y Aduanas intensifican lucha para frenar el contrabando de productos agropecuarios
El Ministerio de Desarrollo Agropecuario, a través de la Dirección Ejecutiva de Cuarentena Agropecuaria, en conjunto con la Autoridad Nacional de Aduanas, han intensificado los esfuerzos en los puntos de entradas al país, con el objetivo de mantener el control de posibles ingresos ilegales al territorio nacional.
Se realizan operativos en los cuales el personal de la Dirección Ejecutiva de Cuarentena Agropecuaria participa, para la aplicación de medidas técnicas según le confiere la ley, en eventos coordinados entre ambas instituciones en la provincia de Chiriquí.
Se informó que en el año 2022 se lograron 80 retenciones de casos agrícolas con una valoración de $149,527.43 y en los nueve primeros meses de este año 2023 la información estadística arroja 49 casos de productos agrícolas por una valoración $102,708.14.
MIDA and Customs intensify fight to stop smuggling of agricultural products
The Ministry of Agricultural Development, through the Executive Directorate of Agricultural Quarantine, together with the National Customs Authority, have intensified efforts at entry points to the country, in order to maintain control of possible illegal entries into the national territory.
Operations in which the staff of the Executive Directorate of Agricultural Quarantine participates, are performed for the application of technical measures as conferred by law in events coordinated between both institutions in Chiriquí.
It was reported that in 2022, 80 retentions of agricultural cases were achieved with a valuation of $149,527.43 and in the first nine months of 2023, the statistical information shows 49 cases of agricultural products with a valuation of $102,708.14.
Minsa dicta sensibilización sobre servicios de Salud para adolescentes, en Chiriquí
Profesionales de diversas disciplinas del Ministerio de Salud, región de Chiriquí, participaron en el taller de sensibilización sobre los Servicios de Salud Amigables para Adolescentes (SSAA), que brinda el Ministerio de Salud.
La jefa de Pediatría de la Sección de Salud Integral de la Niñez y Adolescencia, Fania Trujillo, indicó que los SSAA responden a un modelo de atención integral, con un abordaje biopsicosocial, cuyo objetivo es facilitar el desarrollo y bienestar de los adolescentes.
Trujillo destacó la importancia fundamental de la familia en el desarrollo integral de los adolescentes; así como la necesidad de que los ministerios de Educación y de Salud integren objetivos y esfuerzos para lograr impactar positivamente a la mayor cantidad posible de adolescentes.
Minsa-Chiriquí dictates awareness raising on health services for teenagers
Professionals from various disciplines from the Ministry of Health, Chiriquí region, participated in the awareness workshop on Adolescent Friendly Health Services (SSAA), provided by the Ministry of Health.
The head of Pediatrics of the Comprehensive Health Section of Children and Adolescents, Fania Trujillo, indicated that the SSAA responds to a comprehensive care model, with a biopsychosocial approach, whose objective is to facilitate the development and wellbeing of adolescents.
Trujillo highlighted the fundamental importance of the family in the comprehensive development of adolescents; as well as the need for the ministries of Education and Health to integrate objectives and efforts to positively impact the largest possible number of adolescents.
Trabajadores cafetaleros y Grupo de Inversiones Hermanos Araúz renuevan convenio colectivo con la mediación de MITRADEL
El Ministerio de Trabajo y Desarrollo Laboral en Chiriquí fue el garante de la firma de renovación del convenio colectivo entre trabajadores cafetaleros representados por el Sindicato de Trabajadores Agropecuarios e Industrias Derivadas (SITRAPEID) y el Grupo de Inversiones Hermanos Araúz.
Con la ratificación de este convenio, que contiene 46 cláusulas y tiene una duración de 4 años, se beneficia a más de cien trabajadores que laboran en la empresa ubicada en el distrito de Renacimiento.
Gracias al diálogo y el consenso se obtuvieron beneficios como mejoras en el precio de la lata de café conforme al precio actual del mismo, dotación de equipos de seguridad, beneficios para los hijos de los trabajadores con bonos escolares, entre otros.
Coffee workers and Hermanos Arauz Investment Group renew collective agreement
The Ministry of Labor and Labor Development in Chiriquí was the guarantor of the signing of the renewal of the collective agreement between coffee workers represented by the Union of Agricultural Workers and Derived Industries (SITRAPEID) and the Hermanos Araúz Investment Group.
With the ratification of this agreement, which contains 46 clauses and has a duration of 4 years, more than 100 workers who work in the company, located in the district of Renacimiento will be benefited.
Thanks to dialogue and consensus, benefits such as improvements in the price of a can of coffee according to its current price, provision of safety equipment, benefits for workers’ children with school vouchers, among others, were obtained .
Realizan Feria de Salud en El Valle de Las Lomas
El sábado 23 de septiembre una gran cantidad de personas aprovecharon los servicios prestados en la Feria de Salud en El Valle de las Lomas; entre las atenciones hubo 16 papanicolau, 75 de medicina general, 10 pacientes de nutrición, entre otros.
Además, hubo venta de productos alimenticios de la Agro Feria del Instituto de Mercadeo Agropecuario (IMA) y vacunación canina a 60 mascotas.
Estas ferias se organizan en conjunto a instituciones gubernamentales como el MINSA e IMA, a través del Plan Colmena, con el fin de facilitar estas necesidades básicas a los ciudadanos.
Health Fair in El Valle de Las Lomas
Last Saturday, many people took advantage of the services provided at the Health Fair in El Valle de las Lomas; Among the care there were 16 pap smears, 75 general medicine patients, 10 nutrition patients, among others.
In addition, there was a sale of food products from the Agro Fair of the Agricultural Marketing Institute (IMA) and canine vaccinations for 60 pets.
These fairs are organized altogether with government institutions such as MINSA and IMA, through the Colmena Plan, to facilitate these basic needs to citizens.
Concluye Semana de Arte y Cultura en David
Con una carga de talento, bailes e interpretaciones de distintas culturas y tradiciones, se realizó el sábado 23 de septiembre, la Noche de las Naciones en la Casa de la Cultura, David, Chiriquí.
Este evento denominado “SACUDIDA”, contó con la presencia de autoridades, embajadores y representantes de los países de Marruecos, España, India y México en Panamá, Comunidad China de Chiriquí, miembros de la sociedad, artistas y agrupaciones regionales e internacionales.

With a load of talent, dances and interpretations of different cultures and traditions, the Night of Nations was held on Saturday, September 23, at the House of Culture, David, Chiriquí.
This event called “SACUDIDA” was attended by authorities, ambassadors, and representatives of the countries of Morocco, Spain, India and Mexico in Panama, the Chinese Community of Chiriquí, members of society, artists, and regional and international groups.
