Autoridades del sector agropecuario y representantes de la industria de leche analizan el panorama ante cierres
Representantes de la industria de leche en Panamá, afectados por los cierres de vía en la provincia de Chiriquí, que ponen en riesgo la producción y comercialización de este producto, se reunieron con el ministro de Desarrollo Agropecuario, Augusto Valderrama, y su equipo trabajo para analizar alternativas para que este vital rubro pueda ser recibido y procesado, garantizando la seguridad alimentaria de los panameños.
En la reunión el ministro estuvo acompañado por el viceministro del MIDA, Alexis Pineda y el director del Instituto de Mercadeo Agropecuario, Carlo Rognoni, quienes propusieron como alternativas un arreglo de ayuda mutua entre las plantas procesadoras, apoyo con combustible, materia prima y la gestión para realizar un corredor humanitario, que permita el tránsito de este producto.
Los representantes del sector lechero panameño indicaron que las afectaciones por los cierres de vías durante esta última semana, suman más de un millón de litros de leche que se han dejado de procesar en sus plantas y perjudicado a cientos de pequeños productores de leche grado B, C e incluso de grado A, por la imposibilidad de llegar a sus fincas, lo que se traduce en más de un millón 500 balboas en pérdidas.
