Presidente electo asegura que gobernará con unidad
José Raúl Mulino dio su primer discurso al país anoche, domingo 5 de mayo, desde un salón en el hotel Sheraton, poco después de recibir la llamada del Tribunal Electoral (TE) en la que se le comunicó que es el presidente electo y que tomará posesión del cargo el próximo 1 de julio.
Mulino dijo que el suyo será un gobierno de unidad, que no quiere confrontaciones, que “se acabó” la persecución política y que respetará la libertad de expresión. Pero también sostiene que ha ganado la elección, “¡Duélale a quien le duela!”, y criticó a quienes “trataron cobardemente, con argucias, manipulaciones y chantajes, de torcer la voluntad popular y que una Corte Suprema pusiera al próximo presidente de la República”.
El presidente electo reconoció que “no imaginaba este escenario” cuando Ricardo Martinelli le preguntó si quería ser su candidato a la vicepresidencia de la República, en octubre de 2023, “pero me tocó y lo asumí con enorme responsabilidad y humildad”. Antes, Martinelli había designado a su esposa Marta, quien aceptó y luego inesperadamente declinó.
Elected-President assures that he will govern with unity

The elected-president acknowledged that “I did not imagine this scenario” when Ricardo Martinelli asked him if he wanted to be his candidate for the vice presidency of the Republic, in October 2023, “but it was my turn and I assumed it with enormous responsibility and humility.” Previously, Martinelli had appointed his wife Marta, who accepted and then unexpectedly declined.

El ministro de Desarrollo Agropecuario, Augusto Valderrama, sostuvo una reunión con representantes de las diversas asociaciones de productores de arroz de todo el país y miembros de la Asociación Nacional de Molineros (ANALMO).
Durante este encuentro, se afinaron los mecanismos para que los productores puedan beneficiarse de los 50 centavos por quintal, derivados de las importaciones de este grano.
Además, se discutieron temas relacionados con los pagos y el fortalecimiento de la producción.
El ministro Valderrama destacó la importancia histórica de esta reunión, que reunión a representantes de múltiples asociaciones arroceras con la industria, con el objetivo de concretar este incentivo de 50 centavos por quintal.
Esta iniciativa, anhelada desde hace 14 años, se utilizará para promover la transferencia de conocimientos que conducirá a mejores rendimientos, mediante la implementación de tecnología de vanguardia y las últimas tendencias en producción.
